What's the difference between credit portfolio monitoring and consumer credit monitoring?

Credit portfolio monitoring tracks the health of an entire portfolio of borrowers continuously, for institutional risk management. Consumer credit monitoring tracks a single individual's credit score and alerts them to changes in their own credit file. Portfolio monitoring is what banks and credit unions use to manage portfolio risk; consumer monitoring is what individuals use to protect their credit.
